Windows
install questions:
Q:
When I insert the CD, I get a "16 bit sub-system error"
A: This is caused by a corrupted "Windows Virtual DOS Machine"
(NTVDM) system. The Ntvdm is invoked when the CD's Autorun program
is launched. The easiest way to bypass the error is to hold the
"SHIFT" key down during CD insert to bypass the launching
of the Autorun program.
Or you can clean up your Ntvdm config files. Here is a Microsoft
support page on troubleshooting the NTvdm system. Troubleshooting

Q:
After I install the game, it won't run.
A: We have isolated
two causes of the game not starting:
1.
Sometimes when installing the game from the CD the files are marked
as Read Only. Please do the following:
- Double click
on 'My Computer' on the desktop or in your 'Start' Menu.
- Double click
on your C: drive.
- Navigate
to your install directory (default is '\Program Files\Covenant
Studios\BibleMan\A Fight for Faith').
- Right click
on 'Resources' and select 'Properties'.
- If the 'Read
Only' attribute is checked, uncheck the box then click 'OK' or
'Apply'.
- Allow it
to change the attribute on 'all subfolders and files'.
2.
On some machines, the game will not start if the screen resolution
is 800x600 or lower. The resolution must be at least 1024x768 and
this change can be made from 'Display' in Control Panel. Q:
The game runs but the video doesn't look right.
A: You may need
to set your 'bit depth' or 'color depth' to 16 Bit. This is located
in 'Control Panel / Display'.
Q:
The game runs but there's no sound or it doesn't sound right.
A: Make sure
you have the latest version of DirectX and a DirectX compatible
sound card. DirectX is included on the CD.
General
game questions:
Q:
I'm having trouble deflecting the henchmen's shots.
A: It's just
a matter of practice and timing. Try the game at the easy level
and keep practicing. :)

I'm trying to select BibleMan, but it's not working.
A: BibleMan is
not available at the start of the game, he is "unlocked" on a later
level.
Q:
How do I use the crosses or Bibles I find?
A: Just double
click them. Remember, crosses add 10 seconds to a timed level and
Bibles defeat a henchman, as well as restore some spiritual health
after 12 seconds.
Q:
I found all there ART parts in the Wacky Lair, but nothing happens.
A: The ART parts
are inactive, you need to single click or double click them to activate
them.
